The Institute of Culinary Arts (ICA) – South Africa’s best culinary training facility – is located in the breathtaking Stellenbosch valley of Banhoek. This world-class chef school is known as a prominent Stellenbosch establishment, having been a valued part of the Winelands culinary community for over 25 years.
With the focus on intensive training through an average lecturer-to-student ratio of 1:6, the ICA upholds a simple philosophy of training excellence in all aspects of the culinary arts, providing an unwavering education ground for upcoming chefs of international standard. Chef students attend theory and practical classes at the beautiful campus, surrounded by vineyards and mountains, boasting its own organic vegetable and herb gardens as well as orchards that are at the forefront of the school’s vision on cultivating and operating with sustainable resources.
